Salesforce + n8n

n8n Salesforce Integration Service

We connect Salesforce to your full stack using n8n — lead sync, opportunity automation, account management, and reporting pipelines. Entech builds and maintains production-grade Salesforce workflows so your team doesn't have to.

What we automate

Common n8n Salesforce workflows we build and deliver

Every workflow includes error handling, retry logic, alerting, and full documentation. We scope, build, test, and hand off — or stay on for ongoing managed support.

Lead & contact sync

Bi-directional sync between Salesforce and HubSpot, NetSuite, marketing tools, or internal databases. New leads, contact updates, and ownership changes propagated in real time with deduplication logic built in.

Opportunity-to-order automation

Trigger n8n workflows when opportunities close. Auto-create Sales Orders in NetSuite, kick off billing in Stripe, update project tools, and notify the delivery team — all from a single deal stage change in Salesforce.

Account management workflows

Keep account data consistent across Salesforce, ERP, and customer-facing systems. Sync billing addresses, contract status, renewal dates, and custom fields without manual data entry between platforms.

Campaign & marketing data sync

Connect Salesforce Campaigns to external ad platforms, email tools, and analytics systems. Push campaign members, track engagement data back to Salesforce, and keep attribution clean across your stack.

Reporting & data pipelines

Pull Salesforce data via SOQL into Google Sheets, BigQuery, Snowflake, or BI tools on a schedule. Pipeline reports, forecast data, and activity history — without Salesforce report exports or manual copying.

Custom object automation

Automate workflows involving Salesforce custom objects — contract records, service agreements, custom products — connected to external systems that the native Salesforce integrations don't cover.

Technical approach

How we connect Salesforce to n8n

n8n has an official Salesforce node covering leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, cases, tasks, and standard objects via the Salesforce REST API with OAuth2. For SOQL-based queries, bulk record operations, and custom objects, we use the HTTP Request node to call the API directly — giving us access to everything Salesforce exposes, without connector limitations.

Salesforce's governor limits and API version changes require experience to navigate. Entech has delivered integrations across Salesforce, NetSuite, HubSpot, and custom backends — we build around the edge cases from day one rather than discovering them in production.

1

Official n8n Salesforce node

OAuth2 authenticated access to leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, cases, tasks, and attachments. Standard objects covered out of the box — no custom code on the Salesforce side required.

2

Platform Events & Outbound Messages

Salesforce pushes real-time notifications to n8n via Platform Events or Outbound Messages when records change — opportunity stage updated, lead assigned, case closed. No polling required.

3

SOQL queries for complex lookups

We use SOQL via the HTTP Request node for join queries, aggregate functions, and complex filters that the native node doesn't expose — pulling exactly the data the workflow needs, nothing more.

4

Bulk API for large datasets

For high-volume record sync and reporting extracts, we use Salesforce's Bulk API 2.0 — designed for millions of records without hitting standard API limits or degrading Salesforce performance.

Salesforce connections we build most often with n8n

These are the most common project requests. If your stack isn't listed, reach out — if both systems have APIs, n8n can connect them.

Salesforce ↔ NetSuite

Account-to-customer sync, opportunity-to-Sales Order on close, invoice status and payment data surfaced back in Salesforce automatically.

Salesforce ↔ HubSpot

Bi-directional contact and deal sync, lead handoff flows, marketing attribution data pushed back to Salesforce from campaign activity.

Salesforce ↔ Slack

Deal stage notifications, new lead alerts, case escalations, and forecast updates pushed to the right Slack channels automatically.

Salesforce ↔ Google Sheets / BigQuery

Scheduled SOQL extracts for pipeline reports, forecast data, and activity history — pushed to reporting tools without manual exports.

Salesforce ↔ Shopify

Customer sync, order-to-opportunity flows, ecommerce purchase history surfaced in Salesforce account and contact records.

Salesforce ↔ Custom / Internal tools

Connect Salesforce to internal databases, custom APIs, or proprietary tooling that no native Salesforce connector covers — built in n8n with full error handling.

n8n vs Salesforce Flow

When does n8n make sense alongside Salesforce?

Salesforce Flow is the right tool for automation that stays inside Salesforce — updating records, creating tasks, sending internal alerts, or running approval processes on Salesforce objects. If your logic starts and ends in Salesforce, use Flow.

n8n is the right layer when your workflow needs to leave Salesforce: syncing to NetSuite, calling an external API, pushing data to a data warehouse, or orchestrating a sequence across three or more systems. n8n handles arbitrary API calls without Apex code, doesn't consume Salesforce governor limits, and is faster to build and debug than Salesforce-native automation for cross-system work.

Most enterprise clients run both: Salesforce Flow handles in-CRM logic, n8n handles the cross-system integration layer. See our CRM automation service page for the broader context on how we approach CRM integration.

Common questions

n8n Salesforce integration — what to know

Does n8n have a Salesforce node?

Yes. n8n has an official Salesforce node covering leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, cases, and tasks via the Salesforce REST API with OAuth2. For SOQL queries, bulk operations, and custom objects, we use the HTTP Request node to call the Salesforce API directly — giving full access to everything Salesforce exposes.

What can n8n do with Salesforce that Salesforce Flow can't?

Salesforce Flow can't natively call external systems without custom Apex code. n8n connects Salesforce to any external API — NetSuite, HubSpot, Shopify, internal databases — without any code on the Salesforce side. It also doesn't consume Salesforce governor limits, is faster to build and debug, and is owned and versioned outside Salesforce so it's easier to maintain.

How do you trigger n8n from a Salesforce event?

We use Salesforce Platform Events or Outbound Messages to push real-time notifications to n8n's webhook trigger when records change — lead created, opportunity stage updated, case closed. For polling-based workflows, n8n's schedule trigger queries Salesforce via SOQL on a defined interval.

Can n8n sync Salesforce with NetSuite or HubSpot?

Yes. Bi-directional sync between Salesforce and NetSuite (account-to-customer, opportunity-to-Sales Order) and Salesforce and HubSpot (contact and deal sync, lead handoff) are common projects. We handle field mapping, deduplication, conflict resolution, and error recovery for failed records.

How long does an n8n Salesforce integration take?

Simple one-directional syncs take 1–2 weeks. Multi-system pipelines with bi-directional sync, SOQL lookups, and custom object support take 3–6 weeks. We scope every project before committing to a timeline and provide a fixed-scope estimate upfront.

Do you maintain Salesforce n8n workflows after go-live?

Yes. Salesforce API versions change, object schemas evolve, and custom field additions break mappings over time. We offer post-launch monitoring, error resolution, and ongoing workflow updates. Monitoring and alerting is built into every workflow we deliver.
